'Fetishist' means who?
You can be a fetishist and not even know about that. Fetish is something that is worshiped. In Portuguese "feitiço" means "witchcraft". The term was adopted by psychiatry at the end of the nineteenth century. It stemmed from the belief that there is a strong link between sexual love for objects and cult, which we know from primitive African tribes surrounded by objects symbolizing the spiritual powers and supernatural caring forces.
Today, in everyday language, we talk about fetishists referring to people with not exactly typical sexual preferences. They like feet, they like black leather, lace panties as well as sadomaso and many other things. Everything can be a fetish. Just watch some fetish porn or BDSM porn and maybe you will learn more about your own preferences.
